Tilly Moses is a 19 year old mandolin player and singer songwriter living in York, described as a “tremendously exciting artist” (BBC Introducing) and a “cult figure in the making” (Stephen Thomas, FolkRoom Records.)

Tilly's passionate and poignant song writing, over delicate finger-picked mandolin and the expansive layers of sound from the harmonium, combine with a deep and strong voice which conveys great emotional depth. Her songs range from powerful protest songs, to gentle love songs; from songs of struggles with mental illness, to songs about the beauty of nature.

On her new album, “Alight and Adrift”, she is joined by esteemed folk musicians, such as Sam Kelly (BBC Folk Award Winner 2016), Kit Downes (BBC Jazz Award Winner 2008), and James Delarre, from the much appraised and Folk Award nominated band Mawkin.

Tilly’s confident presence onstage, combined with her emotionally raw and honest stripped back songs, have enraptured audiences up and down the country.

Tilly will be joined by a stellar lineup of musicians: Finn Collinson, virtuoso recorder player and multi-instrumentalist, of rising folk duo Shorelark; Ellie West, organiser of Burwell Bash summer school, and haunting flute player; Ella-Joy Hunton, young fiddle player and rising folk star; Dave West, brilliantly talented guitarist; and Kevin Duncan, producer and multi-instrumentalist, founder of GingerDog Records
