Esper Scout are a rock band based in Leeds driven by empowering, characterful guitars and bass, passionate lyrical content and dynamic drums. Born from Kirsty and Sarah's bond as teenage friends (while unknowingly playing sport against their decade later drummer-to-be Abbi, of a rival school), the two started their first band in Manchester with bassist Rebecca. The trio have been constantly writing, recording and touring in various line-ups together since 2005, with Esper Scout's welcome addition of Abbi in 2015. Becoming Esper Scout in 2011 their sound is bold and engaging, with songs and performances that drift through varying moods. Strengthened by a sense of cause and purpose aided by a strong, honest will to unite people. The band's direct, focused attitude both live and in the studio leaves audiences drawn in, hooked and willingly shook up by the four piece. 2015 was the band's best year so far, with a successful UK tour supporting The Cribs and the Wytches. They released the single 'In Foreign' through their label Bomb the Twist and developed a continuing contribution to the Leeds musicians and artists' DIY co-op practice space/venue 'Chunk' (the location for the song's video).
